Supporting comments: "Romero has won a place in hearts all across campus. He has done this by presenting himself consistently and genuinely as a person of substance and a person of character. Romero is a person of integrity, kindness and diligence who, from his first days at Denison, has sought out opportunities to improve the welfare of others, whether by a warm smile on a cold day, thoughtful advice on a difficult situation or acceptance of taking on a difficult but necessary task. He also is a diligent scholar who has been a model of achievement in everything he does. Romero’s leadership in formal organizations like the BSU and his mentorship of other students through the Freshman Foundation and the POSSE program have strengthened the programs and the students associated with them. But his influence has extended far beyond those formal associations. In difficult times, Romero has had the moral authority to make us listen to him and to cause us to consider thoughtfully what he has had to tell us. He has used his well-deserved stature to educate and unite us. He will be sorely missed after his graduation."
