Restrooms
Restrooms
There are restrooms located throughout the library:
- 1st Floor: Men's & Ladies' (in hallway to Lower Level)
- 2nd Floor: Men's (near north stairs); Men's & Ladies' (in hallway by Viewing Room)
- 3rd Floor: Ladies' (near north stairs)
- 4th Floor: Men's (near north stairs)
- 5th Floor: Ladies' (near north stairs)
Computers
Computers
There are student-use computers located on the 3rd (Main Entry) Floor,
in the Atrium Area on the 2nd Floor, and in the e-Classroom on the 1st
Floor. All the computers on the 2nd Floor as well as the Macs on the
3rd (Main Entry) Floor have word processing software. All computers
play DVDs and CDs. Please ask for headphones at the Circulation Desk.
There are also data ports located throughout the library for laptop
connections to the campus network.
Desks
Desks
The library provides ample amounts of comfortable study
space. However, should you require a personal desk where you can leave
research materials for the semester, you may reserve a desk with the
Circulation Supervisor. Desks are assigned between the hours of 8:30am
and 4:30pm Monday through Friday on a first-come, first-served basis. Seniors have priority.
E-Classroom
Located on the 1st Floor, the e-Classroom is a fully-networked and
wireless-enabled computer lab with 18 desktop stations, an instructor's
station, an LCD projector, and SmartBoard. Please contact Ann Watson if you would like to reserve this room.
Water Fountains
- 1st Floor: in hallway to Lower Level
- 3rd Floor: by Presidents' Room and at entrance to Government Documents stacks
- 2nd - 5th Floors: next to restrooms
Printers
- There are two printers in the Reference area on the 3rd Floor. The largest of these printers also processes print jobs for the Macintosh computers in the 2nd Floor Atrium area.
- There is a printer in the e-Classroom for the computers located there.
Lockers
Lockers
A limited number of lockers are available for assignment to any Denison
student for one semester on a first-come, first-served basis. Lockers
are assigned any time when the library is open. See the Circulaton
Supervisor on duty.
Library Viewing Room, E-204
Library Viewing Room, E-204
This room, located on the second floor of the Library, is a joint
effort between the Library and Media Technology Services (MTS). The
room has a seating capacity for up to 30 people and may be reserved for
the following types of viewing:
- Video: VHS or DVD
- Cable television
- Satellite television
- Computer projection
MTS has modified the room so that it is a self-service room for the above-listed types of viewing. Any equipment problems in the Viewing Room will be addressed by MTS staff.

There are phones available for public use on the 1st Floor (Lower Level) in the hallway
near the restrooms AND on the 2nd Floor in the hallway by the Viewing Room and Student Lounge.
Photocopiers
Photocopiers
There are 2 copiers on the 2nd Floor. There are also 2 in the
Learning Commons on the 3rd (Main Entry) Floor. All copiers take a copy
card, although some also take cash. Copy cards are available for
purchase at the Circulation Desk. They cost $4.00 for 100 copies. Cash
copies are 10 cents apiece.
Vending Area
Vending Area
Need a break or a snack while studying? Visit the library's
vending/snack area, "The Breaking Point" on the 2nd floor for coffee, soda, and other
goodies.
Media Technology Services
Media Technology Services
MTS equipment, such as digital cameras, video cameras, and more, can be checked out at the Circulation Desk. Assistance with MTS equipment is available in the Learning Commons on the main floor of the library.

General Floor Plan
Each floor of the library is divided into three sections:
- A - toward the front of the building; elevator access located here
- B - between two main stairwells (which go from 1st to 6th tier on north and south sides)
- C - toward the rear of the building, the section closest to West Wing study area
