Building: A. Blair Knapp Hall, 1968
Designer/Architect: Gilbert Seltzer
History: Built on the site of Talbot Hall, which was razed for Knapp's construction in 1967, the site still contains the Talbot Hall cornerstone. Knapp Hall was the last of 15 major buildings constructed on campus during the presidency of A. Blair Knapp (1951-1968). Knapp died suddenly of a second heart attack before construction of the hall was completed. Current Use: It currently houses the Departments of Black Studies, Education, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Sociology/Anthropology, and Women's Studies, as well as 91.1 WDUB, the student-operated radio station.
