The hall, which originally included ten bowling lanes on the third floor, provides a unique achievement in soundproof insulation for the Owens Corning Company. The lanes were dismantled in 1992 to make way for construction of The Roost, a campus social space and bar.

Slayter Hall continues to be used as the student union containing lounges, a snack bar, bookstore, student mailboxes, and a 302 seat auditorium. Offices on the 4th floor include the Career Development Center, Denison Community Association, Student Actiities Committee, and Religious Life. | |
