Finding Books
- Use the OhioLINK Central Catalog in one of
the following ways:
- An AUTHOR search for a director's name (ex.: corman, roger) will result in a list of films by that director AND screenplays by that director
- A TITLE search (ex.: nightmare on elm street) will result in a list of videos and books with the search phrase either in the title or table of contents.
- A SUBJECT search (ex.: horror films, motion pictures japan) allows for quick thematic searching
- A KEYWORD search will search all portions of the catalog record
--Use AND between terms to narrow your search (ex.: japan and horror)
--Use OR between like terms/synonyms to save time (ex.: cinema or film or movie or motion picture)
--Use * to search all forms of a word (ex.: terror*)
--Use ( ) to create a complex search (ex.: japan* and horror and (film* or cinema* or movie*) )
--Use " " to search a phrase (ex.: "eyes without a face")
- Print out the items you are interested in by following these steps:
- Add items to your "Saved List" by clicking "Save for Export."
