Indexing and abstracting tools lead you to journal articles on a particular topic. These sources give you a citation to an article and often a summary of the contents of the article. Once you have found a citation for an article you are interested in, the next step is to determine whether or not the Denison Library subscribes to that journal. Some of the indexes are in paper; others can be accessed electronically; some are both paper and electronic. The year any play you choose to research was written may determine your choice of format.

Once you have found a citation for an article you are interested in the next step is to determine whether or not the Denison Library subscribes to that journal. Many online indexes have links to the CONSORT catalog. Others have access to the full-text of some articles.

Some of these indexes and abstracts are available only in paper. Others can be accessed electronically. When considering the possibility of a particular journal having online access, begin by searching for the journal title in CONSORT.
