Indexes & Databases
Look for journal articles, newspaper articles and government information about the food industry and its future, fast food trends, or to find information on nutrition and health effects of current trends in food consumption by searching in some general databases and other electronic resources.
- Academic Search Complete A general database including articles on many topics among them food science and technology.
- Business Source Complete Want to find out about the food industry from the point of view of business. This database provides full text access to journal articles in scholarly and trade business publications.
- Lexis-Nexis Academic Covers late breaking news, case-law, company backgrounds, biographies, and more. Indexes newspapers (including local, regional, and national), magazines, broadcast transcripts, and more. Updated weekly; most material is full-text. Also, look for testimony and search "Inside Washington".
- Lexis-Nexis Congressional Offers access to information by and about the United States Congress, including Congressional publications from 1970 to the present, CIS Legislative Histories for public laws going back to 1970, testimony from congressional hearings, bills as they move through the House and Senate, the Congressional Record and Federal Register, information about members and committees, and more.

This database provides information of agricultural practice and related activities. Look here for information on organic farming, genetically altered crops, etc.
