  This site provides information on military spending and size of armed forces. Data can be extracted for up to three countries and for up to ten years.
• Pan American Health Organization - Regional Core Health Data Initiative
  "The Regional Core Health Data Initiative includes 109 core health indicators to quantitatively characterize the health situation of the 48 countries and territories of the Region of the Americas for the period 1998-2000. With this Table Generator System, you can construct tables by any combination of indicator(s)/country(ies)/year(s)."

• World Economic Outlook (publication)Database

Reference books provide background information on a people, terms and concepts.

• International Trade Centre
  "ITC: the technical cooperation agency of UNCTAD and WTO for operational, enterprise-oriented aspects of trade development." Use the pull-down menu to access trade statistics for individual countries.
• International trade statistics
  A product of the World Trade Organization, this page offers access to the WTO statistics database and to selected materials from the annual publication International trade statistics. The WTO Statistics Database allows you to either compair the trade profiles of various countries selected from a pull down menue or to retrieve time series statistics for topics by country. International trade statistics is available from 1998.
• UN Commodity Trade Statistics Database (UN Comtrade)
  Annual international trade statistics for over 130 countries, detailed by commodity and partner country. Excellent hints on how to use this page are provided on a page for first time users.
