Sanborn Digital Maps are large scale street plans produced by the Sanborn Fire Insurance company from 1867 to 1970. Sanborn Maps show the outline of each building including the location of windows and doors together with street names, street and sidewalk widths, property boundaries, building use, and house and block numbers. These maps are heavily used in both public and academic libraries
by a wide range of researchers including local historians to locate and
identify buildings and neighborhoods, urban historians to study the
growth of towns and cities, and environmentalists concerned about
impact of new developments.

page. Other Ohio citizens can connect to Sanborn Maps through their
public libraries' Web sites, or through OPLIN.

The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) is a NASA-funded project
which maintains three bibliographic databases containing more than 7.0
million records: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Physics, and arXiv
e-prints. The main body of data in the ADS consists of bibliographic
records, which are searchable through our Abstract Service query forms,
and full-text scans of much of the astronomical literature which can be
browsed though our Browse interface. Integrated in its databases, the
ADS provides access and pointers to a wealth of external resources,
including electronic articles, data catalogs and archives. There are currently over 8 million links to records maintained by our collaborators.

contains digitized recordings of animal sounds from the Borror
Laboratory of Bioacoustics at The Ohio State University. Currently,
recordings of songbirds (primarily warblers, tanagers, and sparrows)
are available. Additional recordings are in process.
The Borror Laboratory houses one of the largest collections of
recorded animal sounds in the world. Founded by the late Dr. Donald
Borror, Professor of Entomology and Zoology at The Ohio State
University, the collection contains more than 30,000 recordings of over

containing descriptions and abstracts of 725,000 broadcast news stories
from 30,000 individual network evening news broadcasts from the major
U.S. national broadcast networks: ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN, and more than
9,000 hours of special news-related programming including ABC's
Nightline since 1989.
Online video is available for CNN news broadcasts from 1999 to the
present. You can request complete programs or compilations of selected
items to be copied onto videotape for a fee.
