2013 President's Medalists

On Friday, April 19, 2013, at Swasey Chapel, seven Denison University seniors received the college’s most prestigious student award, the President’s Medal. The awards were presented at the annual Academic Awards Convocation with a capacity crowd of Denison students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and university trustees.
The preeminent criterion for receipt of a President’s Medal, which was established in 1985, is academic achievement. In addition, candidates must embody some combination of the following: service to the community, contribution to the arts, enlargement of the community's global perspective, athletic fitness and achievement, leadership ability and contribution to community discourse.
The Class of 2013 President’s Medalists:
- Abdulkadir Mohamed Ali '13, a history major from East Boston, Mass.
- Hannah Michelle Frank '13, an English and educational studies studies major from Mason, Ohio
- Shiyu "Amy" Huang '13, an economics major from Chongqing, China
- Nathaniel Brian Kell '13, a computer science major from Upper Arlington, Ohio
- Katherine Elizabeth Kloster '13, an economics major from Ballwin, Mo.
- Sara McKenna Livingston '13, a sociology/anthropology major from Erie, Pa.
- Cullen Spencer Marshall '13, a biochemistry major from Louisville, Ky.
