Annual Fund
Graduates Of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) Society
What is the purpose of the G.O.L.D. Society?
To educate younger alumni about the importance of leadership giving by raising leadership dollars from the nine most recently graduated classes. The program also serves to involve volunteers from these classes in the Denison Annual Fund and encourage a long-term relationship with these class years.
What are the goals of the program?
To raise $45,000 from 90 donors.
What kind of gift is required?
Gifts of $250 or more for classes 2004-2007, and of $500 or more for the classes of 1999-2003, are credited as leadership gifts.
How do we do this?
Two co-chairs are slected and asked to serve. The co-chairs, with the assistance of the Annual Fund Staff, will recruit a committee. These members will be responsible for a G.O.L.D. level gift, identifying other classmates capable of a G.O.L.D. gift and soliciting these classmates for a G.O.L.D. gift.
What is the time commitment?
Co-chairs are asked to serve a minimum of one year (2 years preferred). Committee members are asked to serve (one year) anytime after July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008.
What kind of support is provided?
The Annual Fund staff will provide logistical support for the program and will be available to answer any questions. They will ensure that G.O.L.D. prospects will not receive other non-related Annual Fund solicitations. The Annual Fund will pay for and process all mailigs to the committee and G.O.L.D. prospects. Staff will also ensure that G.O.L.D. donors are made aware of and receive leadership benefits: invitations to special events (i.e. leadership receptions and dinners), Presidential Updates, etc.
When do gifts have to be in?
All gifts must be received by June 30, 2008 which is the close of Denison's fiscal year.
