Brian Collingwood is focused on positively impacting the career exploration and professional development experiences of individuals within the Denison community.  He is a former corporate recruiter and a former member of the Career Center at The University of Akron. As a recruiter, Brian linked individuals with career opportunities and oversaw various hiring processes while communicating regularly with client companies and other hiring managers.  During his experience at Akron, Brian advised students and alumni regarding their individual professional development needs and functioned as a member of the Career Center hiring committee. Also, Brian served on the Career Center employer relations committee, contributed to event planning efforts, formulated marketing strategies, and conducted professional development workshops and outreaches. Additionally, Brian served as an intern at John Carroll University, where he assisted in the facilitation of diversity awareness and leadership programs for students centered on identifying and developing transferable skills throughout one’s collegiate experience. Brian holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from The University of Akron and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in International Affairs from Xavier University.
