Career Services, Senior Check List

Register with Career Services: complete a Word resume. (GOAL: Upload to myDENISON eXPERIENCE by mid September!).

Use Drop-in Hours or make an appointment with us to review your resu­me or cover letter. Bring a rough draft of your resume or cover letter. Monday - Friday Drop-In Hours are 2:00 - 4:00 pm.

Attend Interview, Job Search Workshops and Career Panels. Log into myDENISON eXPERIENCE, click on "Calendar".

Sign up for a Mock Interview. Practice your interviewing skills with us and review the video of your mock interview, or, sign up for Mock Interview Day.

Network with employers/graduate schools, bring several copies of your resume and send follow-up thank you letters to the following annual Fairs at Denison:

  1. Employer Career Fair in Slayter Union, 11:30 am - 3:00 pm. (Sign up for possible interviews conducted 3:00-5:00 p.m. that day).
  2. Graduate/Professional School Fair in Slayter Union, 11:30 am - 3:00 pm.
  3. Non-Profit Fair in February, Slayter Union, 11:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Research Employers! Use the Career Service Resource Library and/or the ONLINE Vault Career Library To access the online career library, www.vault.com, you will need to enter your username and password that you use for your email or mydenison account. Employer Research & Periodicals Websites. (both on our homepage at www.denison.edu/career).

Apply for as many on-campus interviews as possible. Log into myDENISON eXPERIENCE, click on "Jobs & Internships". There will be profit, non-profit and school systems interviewing at Denison.

Attend Employer Information Sessions.

Schedule an appointment with either Ryan, Pam, or Ashley to discuss your career goals and/or job search.

Schedule an appointment with Pam if you are considering law school, medical, veterinary, dental school/other health professions, MBA or graduate schools and learn the timeline/application process. Keep in touch!
