Yep, it happens to all of us. A file becomes unreadable or is totally missing from a folder. It can be extremely frustrating to invest time working on a project only to have it vanish. In most situations, Information Technology Services can restore your file easily.
If you need to have one or more files restored, please fill out the fields below to submit a request directly to Information Technology Services.
If you don't know all the information to complete the form, DON'T PANIC! We will do what we can to find the file with the information you provide us. However, please understand that there are limits to what we can do. For example, if you can't remember major parts of the name of the file or what folder you placed the file into originally, the process of searching may take long time or may be impractical.
Filling out the form below will save us time. However, every situation is different, so if you would rather talk to us directly to discuss your situation, feel free to call the Help Desk at x6395.
If the file is important to you, it is important to us!
Example: "U:\BigProject\2002\MyDataFile.doc." Note: If you want to have a complete folder restored, provide the folder name only.
Example: "I saved the file on Tuesday, 2/17 at around 4:00pm, and discovered it missing on the following Friday at 9:00am"
Example: "I really need the file before a meeting Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm. Please do not overwrite the existing file I created with the same name, because it contains some information that I don't want to re-type."
