Information Trolling Policy

Denison maintains a strict policy regarding the release of information to third parties.

• Release of information about computing and network technology (equipment and/or software) owned or utilized by the university over the telephone or by means of electronic or mailed surveys is prohibited unless such release is approved in advance by the Director of Information Technology Services.
• Release of such information to organizations or vendors that have an established working relationship with the university (usually defined by having the organization's identification information on file) is permitted.
• Release of university-specific information by an employee of the Information Technology Services department in return for money, gifts, prizes or any other tangible reward is prohibited.
