Important Message for Graduating Seniors from Denison's ITS
**Senior Accounts Expire on Thursday, July 31st, 2008**
Please note that
your Denison Novell, Email and Web accounts will expire on Thursday, July 31st,
2008. You must download anything you wish to keep before that date. We recommend
that you copy your material before you leave campus.
If you wish to have
a continuous email address to receive messages from potential employers, please
use the Alumni Forwarding address mentioned below as the return email address on
your job resumes and school
applications.
**Email, Novell, and Web server files**
Email can be
accessed from any internet location via myDenison (https://my.denison.edu), a direct webmail link (https://webmail.denison.edu) or via a
POP3 or IMAP mail client (e.g. Netscape Messenger, Mozilla Thunderbird, Outlook,
Outlook Express, Apple Mail, etc...). Note that once the registrar removes the
student status from your record you will not be able to access email via
myDenison and will have to login using the direct webmail link mentioned
above.
Email can be archived using any of the email clients mentioned
above. Messages can be saved locally to your personal PC, home system, or saved
to a CDROM or flash drive. Click here for detailed information on

For
files saved on the Novell drives (U and S), we recommend that you copy your
material to your PC, CDROM or flash drive before you leave campus. However, it
is possible to access these files from off-campus. Click here to find instructions for

Personal
pages stored on the Web server may be downloaded using secure ftp. Instructions
for Windows and Macintosh computers can be found online:

**Alumni Email-Forwarding Addresses**
If
you wish to maintain an "@denison.edu" email address, simply take advantage of
our email-forwarding service. ALL students already have an "alias" forwarding
address, based on the following form: firstname.lastname.class@denison.edu
(e.g., teresa.beamer.08@denison.edu). The "alias" email-forwarding system will
work only if you keep the Alumni office informed of your preferred email address (http://www.denison.edu/alumni/information_and_news_update.html).
Use this link every time you change your internet service provider (ISP) (e.g.
changing from Road Runner internet to Verizon internet service).
