Remove the Novell Client
Windows 2000 and XP
- Go to the Control Panel and Select Add/Remove Programs.
- Find "ZenWorks Desktop Management Agent" and select "Remove".
- (Optional) Sometimes the following Registry Key must be removed for Windows to restart properly after removing Novell.
- From the Start Menu, select Run, type "Regedit" and click OK.
- Find this key in the Registry tree:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GinaDLL. The value of this key will be NWGina.dll. - Right click on the key and select delete. Exit Regedit.
- Back in the Add/Remove Programs Window, you can now Remove the Novell Client for Windows.
- Restart your computer.
If your computer does not start properly (You receive a message indicating NWGina.dll is not found, you will need to restart in Safe Mode and complete the Optional step 3. Our Maintainance Page has more information regarding Safe Mode and the Regedit tool.
Macintosh
Mac OS X has no client to remove. Our Novell servers now allow Mac OS X to connect without a client.
Macintosh OS 9 and earlier - Remove the Novell and IPX files from the Extensions folders.
