Support - How Do I . . .?
Use NOMAD Ports
If you have a DOL account or have a laptop that is registered with Computing Services, your computer can be plugged into a NOMAD (Network Open Multiple Access Device) port and receive full network access (WWW, Novell, E-mail, etc.). If you need to register your laptop or are not sure if it is registered, connect to the network in your room and register at http://registerip.denison.edu.
If you are not a resident, visit the Help Desk in the lobby of Fellows Hall.
If you do not want to register your laptop, you can still log in temporarily. You will be sent to the same location as the wireless network when you plug into a NOMAD port. You must then log onto the network by opening a browser window and entering your email username and password on the login page. You will then have full access to all your network resources, such as your U:drive with your private and shared directories. If you do not have Novell installed, you will still have access to your e-mail and the Internet.
Locations of NOMAD Ports
All ports are labeled with the word NOMAD above the jack. Below is a list of NOMAD ports. If you would like to have a Nomad port installed, please fill out our NOMAD Request form.
