Support - How Do I . . .?

Remove McAfee

Virus Scan is required for all computers connecting to Denison's network, but you may wish to remove it upon leaving the University. Anti-virus software is critically important today. Install effective software and keep it up to date!

Windows with ePolicy Orchestrator Agent

Follow these three steps to remove McAfee from a Windows computer:

• Remove ePolicy Orchestrator. Click on Start -> Run and type (or copy and paste) the following: "C:\Program Files\Network Associates\Common Framework\FrmInst.exe" /remove=agent. A message box will appear with log information and an indication that removal is complete.
• Uninstall McAfee Anti-Spyware. Go to Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs and remove McAfee.
• Uninstall McAfee Virus Scan. Go to Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs and remove McAfee.

Macintosh OS X

• Find the appropriate folder and drag it to the trash.
• Restart your computer.
