Support - Software Center

Anti-virus Software

McAfee anti-virus software is provided by the University and is required for all computers connecting to the network.  This software is intended for installation on your personally owned computer. Do not install on  Denison owned computers. Be sure to uninstall any other anti-virus software and back up your computer BEFORE you install this software.

For Students

This is all covered in much greater detail on our DU-NE (formerly Big Red Disc). (You can download the software from the DU-NE as well.)

For Faculty and Staff

To install  Virus Scan 8.0i Enterprise [exe] for Windows 2000/2003/XP. DO NOT INSTALL ON VISTA!

For Macintosh OS X, you can download Virus Scan 8.5.

When the Vista installer is completed it will be linked from here.

Software Specifications

• Virus Scan 8.5i Enterprise for Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista
• VirusScan 8.5 for MacOS 10.4.x (Universal Binary) 
• MacOS 9, Windows 98 and WindowsMe are no longer supported.
