The following software is available for Denison Faculty, Staff, and Students for personally owned computers. If you require software for your Denison owned computer, please contact our Help Desk.

Installation Media at Library Circulation Desk
The following software is available at the Library Circulation Desk for a three-day loan. Supplies are limited.
- Office 2007 for Windows
- Office 2008 for Macintosh OS X
- Windows XP Professional
- Windows Vista Enterprise 32 bit
- Office 2003 for Windows
- Office 2004 for Macintosh OS X
Windows Vista Ultimate and 64 bit versions are available by special request at the Fellows Help Desk. The Enterprise 32 bit version is sufficient for most purposes.
Please update Microsoft Windows and Office - visit the Microsoft Update Page or the Microsoft Update for Mac Office. Office 2008 already has a security update.
Compatibility of Office 2007 and Office 2008 with previous versions
Office 2003 can be patched so you can accept Office 2007 documents - FileFormatConverters.exe is available from Microsoft. This will enable your Office 2003 software to accept and use the new Office 2007 formats. Users of Office 2007 and Office 2008 can Save documents in the Office 2003 format to ensure maximum compatibility when sharing files.
Microsoft recently released a similar option for Office 2004 users. Open XML File Format Converter for Mac 1.0 may be helpful to those who need to view files in these new formats.
