Class Descriptions
Blackboard Basics - This class will be geared to faculty who have never used Blackboard or have used just one or two features. This will be a hands-on class. Bring course materials that you would like to post to your Blackboard course. Instructor(s) - Anne Crowley & Cheryl Johnson
Blackboard (Wiki's) - Learn to use Blackboard's wiki tools to collaborate. What is a Wiki? Instructor(s) - Anne Crowley & Cheryl Johnson
Blackboard Voice Tools - Learn how to: 1) Send a voice email to your students. 2) Create a voice discussion board for students. 3) Start an easy podcast program for your students. Instructor(s) - Anne Crowley & Cheryl Johnson
Blackboard Advanced Writing Tools - Wikis provide a digital collaborative writing space, blogs allow for digital journaling and editorializing. Discussion boards extend your class conversations beyond the classroom. Instructor(s) - Anne Crowley & Cheryl Johnson
Excel Basics - Learn to format and edit cells, resize columns and insert images. Instructor(s) Mike Testa & Jeff Braumberger
Creating Forms in Excel - Using the skills taught in Excel Basics, participants will create a complete form. Instructor(s) Mike Testa & Jeff Braumberger
Filming & iMovie (Part 1) - Learn how to use a DV camcorder, some basic filming tips and how to import their footage into iMovie. Instructor(s) - Cheryl Johnson
iMovie (Part 2) - Learn how edit their footage and add special effects, transitions, titles to your movie, and how to export a finished movie. Instructor(s) - Cheryl Johnson
iMovie & iDVD (Part 3) - Learn how to transform your iMovie project into a DVD that can be played on most DVD players. Instructor(s) - Cheryl Johnson
