VPN Tutorial for Macs

  1. Connect

Run the VPN Client, using the instructions provided at the end of the installation procedure for your operating system. You will see a screen with the Denison VPN logo, followed by the VPN Client program. Click Connect. The VPN Client will establish a secure link with the Denison VPN server.

  2. Log In

When it has successfully established that link, it will prompt you for your LDAP (usually your email) username and password. Fill in your correct information and click OK.

  3. Your computer is now connected

Your computer is now securely connected to the Denison University network. You have the same level of access that you would from your office or student residence computer (limited, of course, by the bandwidth of the connection you are using). Verify this by looking for a small lock icon next to the connection entry in the VPN program window.

You may now perform any network functions that you would from your campus computer. You have access to Novell as well as "on-campus only" library resources such as Lexus-Nexus and OhioLink.
