Medical Director, is a native of Bridgeport, Ohio and attended The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy and an ROTC commission in the U.S. Army in 1971 and an M.D. degree (cum laude) in 1975. He completed residency training in family practice at Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California in 1978 before returning to Newark, Ohio to enter private practice. After completing further training in occupational medicine at the University of Cincinnati in 1988, Dr. Marty left private practice and now divides his time between college health and occupational medicine, serving as medical director for both the Denison University Health Service and Company Care, the occupational health division of Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He is also medical director of the Licking County Health Department and a volunteer physician at the Community Health Clinic of Licking County, an indigent care clinic. Dr. Marty and his wife,  reside in Granville and have three daughters.
