Assistant Director of Counseling Services, is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in the State of Ohio. Tim has been a therapist in the mental health and substance abuse fields for over eighteen years, both as a counselor and as an administrator of outpatient treatment programs. Tim worked at Kenyon College for four years prior to coming to Denison in 2001. He has a strong interest in abuse/addiction recovery services, student support programs and providing brief, solution focused therapy as well as more traditional interventions. Tim, a generalist, works with students experiencing a variety of concerns, from depression to anxiety to relationship issues. Tim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and his Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from The Ohio State University.
