Overview
The Chief Investment Officer is responsible for the oversight of the university's investments including the endowment, unitrusts, pooled income funds, and gift annuities.
Endowment
The Chief Investment Officer works directly with the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees and with our outside consultant to review asset allocation and implement strategic changes including additions, withdrawals, hiring and firing of external investment mangers. All funds are invested with professional external money managers. The Chief Investment Officer performs routine due diligence, including visits and phone calls. The Chief Investment Officer also prepares a monthly investment update for the Investment Committee and a quarterly communication for the full Board of Trustees regarding the current investment environment and the University's investment strategy for the Endowment.
Other
The Chief Investment Officer performs statistical and other analytical assistance to the Vice President of Finance and Management in support of institutional research and planning.
