Summary:

Denison offers a Tuition-Free Benefit at Denison, a GLCA Tuition Exchange Program, and a Cash Assistance Awards Program.

Eligibility:

All full-time Faculty and Staff.

For the Tuition-Free Benefit at Denison, there is a waiting period of one year of continuous full-time employment immediately prior to the beginning of the academic semester of the child's enrollment at Denison.

For the GLCA program, there is a waiting period of one year of continuous full-time employment immediately prior to the beginning of the academic year of the child's college enrollment.

For the Cash Assistance Awards program, the employee must have completed two years of continuous full-time employment. Also, the salary or wages for the employee's position must be funded from the University's Operating Budget.

Employee Cost:

There is no cost to the employee to receive one of the three education benefits.

Benefit:

The Tuition-Free Scholarship at Denison covers tuition cost only. It does not cover any fees, books, or room and board. Admission to Denison is not guaranteed for dependents. They must meet normal university admission standards. While this is the case, dependent children will be given full and careful consideration.

The employee cost for a child to attend a GLCA program is 10% of the average tuition of the schools in the GLCA.

The Cash Assistance Awards program, applicable to 4 year accredited colleges or universities other than Denison or GLCA schools, provides a four-year benefit not to exceed $1,500 per year or a total of $6,000 over eight semesters or twelve quarters to be applied against tuition of the admitting college or university.

Please contact Carrie Mitchell-Moore at ext. 6299 regarding this benefit.

Notes:

This plan has been described here in a general manner. Your benefits are more fully described in the Plan document and/or applicable policies. In the case of a conflict or omission, the provisions of the Plan document and/or policies will govern.
