New Items
1. Director of Human Resources Search Process - Bill Acklin
updated the group on the search for Director of Human Resources. The
search committee has invited four candidates to campus. The visits will
be in the last week of March and first week of April (specifically, March 27,
March 29, April 3, and April 6). The HRAG group will have an opportunity
to meet the candidates as a group, along with the Personnel Committee.
Bill will forward specific information as to times of meetings and location at
a later date.
Updates
1.HRAG Representative
Replacement - A total of three representatives will be finishing
their terms this year: Jim Nichols for Security and Safety, Christy Trager for
Academic Secretaries and Academic Support, and Steve Thorp (vacated in
December, 2005) for Building Services. Since Christy is completing one
year of an unfinished term, she is eligible for consideration for a full three
year term. Also, the group asked Betty Rusch if she would consider
completing an additional year on the committee so that the two positions in
Building Services would be staggered. If she were to leave at the end of
this year, both Building Services positions would be open and the group did not
believe this was desirable. Betty agreed to complete one more year of
service on the committee.
A
selection memo will be sent to all supportive operating staff asking for
nominations for the open positions. All nominations should be sent to the
HRAG chair, Belinda Carr, by March 17. Belinda can be reached at carrb@denison.edu or extension 5615.
2. Representative Lists - Lists of employees by area were distributed to all
representatives.
3.
HR Communication Meetings - The Office of Human Resources will be holding HR Communication Meetings in
April and May. The meeting notice will be sent to all support staff the
week of March 27.
