The following programs are open to all support staff (SOS)
11/16/07 - Change Management: Who Moved My Cheese
Change
is a constant. We must change and adapt both in our personal and
professional lives. Yet most of us resist change and hold on to the
old because we fear the unknown. The goals of this half day program,
based on the book “Who moved my Cheese?” by Spencer Johnson will:
- Provide you with a new and positive way of looking at change so it works to your advantage
- Give you a fun language and method of thinking that will accelerate your and your organization’s ability to change
- Show you a reliable way to win by doing what works in changing times
2/1/08 - Personal & Professional Skills for Support Staff
The
roles and requirements of support staff have expanded tremendously.
Support staff members now must manage a growing variety and complexity
of tasks and interpersonal relationships. This program is designed to
help support staff members with the tools to understand the demands of
their jobs and develop means of successfully fulfilling their roles.
Participants will learn:
- The critical role of listening and methods to improve their skills
- Positive communication skills
- The building blocks of self-esteem and their application to the workplace
- A simple technique for managing stressful times more effectively
