Thanks A Million Award Program

Is there someone that you wish to say "thank you" to?  Did you know there is a way to show your appreciation for them?

Well, the Office of Human Resources sponsors a program called "Thanks A Million".   The purpose of the Thanks A Million award program is to provide another way for employees to say "thank you" to supportive operating staff for doing a good job.  Often, the best recognition for doing a good job is receiving a thank you and knowing that your work and effort is appreciated.

Here are the particulars of the program:

1.      All supportive operating staff  (SOS) are eligible to receive the award;
2.      Any university employee can give a "Thanks A Million" award card to an SOS employee;
3.      A "Thanks A Million" card is completed by the employee giving the award noting who is to receive the award and why it is being given;
4.      The card is forwarded to Human Resources, recorded, and then sent to the recipient's manager for presentation.

Human Resources will track the award cards given.  Each month a random drawing will be held for (5) $20 gift certificates.  Employees receiving an award will be eligible for the drawing in the month they receive the award.  The gift certificates will vary and will include movies, restaurants, sporting events, concerts, groceries, etc…

The "Thanks A Million" award forms are available in the Office of Human Resources.  Simply complete an award form and send it to Human Resources.

It's that easy!
