All scholarships and awards are for a maximum of eight semesters.
If a student who has a major academic scholarship is less than full-time (defined as a minimum of 12 credit hours) for any given semester, the student will lose the scholarship for that semester, except in extraordinary circumstances beyond his or her control. In cases in which a student appeal is successful, the student award will be prorated according to the number of credit hours he or she is carrying. ("Major academic scholarship" includes the following: Founders, Paschal Carter, Legacy, Wells, and Humanities.)
Scholarships and awards not based on need cannot be carried to an off- campus study program.
A student who receives an approved withdrawal may have the scholarship or award reinstated for up to one year after the date of withdrawal. Any appeal beyond that time limit must be approved by the Financial Aid Committee.
No award or combination of awards (including departmental awards) will result in a student receiving more than the amount of full tuition.
