Living Voices
Documents from the Remnant Trust at Denison University
It is a rich and rare experience to touch, feel, and read centuries-old documents that are usually hidden in the dark recesses of archives. The Remnant Trust collection has made it possible for Denison to place in our hands original and first-edition works of great seminal thinkers, propelling their thoughts through history and into our lives. These are the living voices that have shaped the architecture of our minds, our actions, and our civic engagement. As our collective heritage, they speak powerfully to what we profess about human integrity, civil rights, freedom and dignity.
The "Living Voices" collection will be on display in the Denison University Library from early September through December 4, 2007. Students, faculty, staff and the public are welcome to come, see, and touch these historic documents.
