The Peter Schultz Lab at the Scripps Research Institute combines the tools and principles of chemistry with the molecules and processes of living cells to synthesize new molecules and molecular assemblies with original physical, chemical and biological functions. By studying the structure and function of the resulting molecules, new insights into the mechanisms of complex biological and chemical systems can be found.

An annual convocation featuring a top scientist, the Reid and Polly Anderson Lecture Series is regarded as the college’s major science lecture of the year and is meant for a broad science audience. The Anderson Lectureship rotates among departments within the sciences
