Artist’s talk and student exhibitions

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Two special art events will take place at Denison University this week. An exhibition by senior studio art minors will take place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Tuesday March 5, to Friday March 8, with an opening reception at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5. The exhibition will take place in the Mulberry House Galley (202 North Mulberry). The second event, an artist’s talk by George Rush, assistant professor of art at the Ohio State University, will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, in the Cinema House (201 North Mulberry).  Rush has exhibited his work nationally and internationally; in addition to participating in numerous group exhibitions, he has had solo exhibitions at Elizabeth Dee Gallery, New York; Galerie Mikael Andersen, Copenhagen; Galeria Javier Lopez, Madrid; Lemberg Gallery, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; and Kevin Bruk Gallery, Miami. He previously taught at Yale School of Art, Vassar College, Rhode Island School of Design, Columbia University, and University of Tennessee. In 2004, Rush was a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow in Painting.
