Date of Event: November 1, 2012

Posted: October 31, 2012

GRANVILLE, Ohio— Vail Visiting Artist Pearl Hsiung will give an artist’s talk at 7 p.m. on Thurs., Nov. 1, in the Knapp Performance Space, lower level of Knapp Hall (300 Ridge Road). The talk is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Dyan Couden at 740-587-6596 or visit www.denison.edu.

Hsiung’s work explores the space between representation and abstraction and is often a site for humorous commentary and material experimentation. Her intensely colorful large-scale canvases, small studies and performance videos challenge the pristine images that dominate postminimalist contemporary art.
