Artist-in-residence to share experiences, craft

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison University’s artist-in-residence Jim Winters will give an artist talk about his career, titled “From Here to There,” at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, in room 113 of Denison University’s Ebaugh Laboratories (500 West Loop). Winters' silk-screen series, “Travelogue,” will be on display in the Mulberry Gallery (202 North Mulberry Street). His exhibition is designed to complement this year’s campus theme of ‘Migrations.’ Co-sponsors of the talk include the Vail Visiting Artist Program, Queer Studies and Studio Art Programs. Winters has worked in studio and freelance settings throughout his career. He worked with Urban Outfitters, Levi’s Jeans and Stanford University, among other clients. His art has appeared in various prestigious galleries.
