Denison Lecture Series Hosts Fred Barnes To Discuss 'New Political Era In Washington'

GRANVILLE -- The Denison University Lecture Series will host Fred Barnes to discuss "The New Political Era in Washington." Set for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 23) in Slayter Auditorium, this event is free and open to the public.
Barnes, executive editor of The Weekly Standard, is also host, along with Mort Kondracke, of "The Beltway Boys," a weekly political analysis program on the Fox News Channel. He also appears regularly as a political contributor on FNC's nightly "Special Report with Brit Hume."
From 1988 to 1998 he was a regular panelist on "The McLaughlin Group," and he has also appeared on "Nightline," "Meet the Press," "Face the Nation" and "The News Hour with Jim Lehrer."
Barnes graduated from the University of Virginia and was a Neiman Fellow at Harvard University. From 1985 to 1995 he served as senior editor and White House correspondent for The New Republic. Barnes covered the Supreme Court and the White House for The Washington Star before moving on to The Baltimore Sun. He served as the national political correspondent for The Sun and wrote the "Presswatch" media column for The American Spectator.
