GRANVILLE, Ohio—A lecture by Eric Barnes, a professor of philosophy at Southern Methodist University, will explore “Freedom, Creativity and Manipulation,” at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, in room 210 of Denison University’s Samson Talbot Hall (350 Ridge Road). The lecture, sponsored by the Titus-Hepp Lecture Series and the Department of Philosophy, is free and open to the public. Barnes has published in several journals, including the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science. His current research examines with the philosophy of science as well as the freedom of the will and social and political autonomy.
