Poet Debra Allbery to read her work

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Poet Debra Allbery will read her newest poems at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, in the boardroom of Denison University’s Barney-Davis Hall (200 West Loop). Allbery’s latest book “Fimbul-Winter” received the Grub Street National Book Prize in Poetry. The reading is sponsored by the Beck Lecture Series and is free and open to the public. Allbery serves as the director of the Warren Wilson Master of Fine Arts Program for Writers. She is a winner of the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize, the “Discovery”/The Nation Poetry Award, Ohio Poet of the Year and two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships.
 
The Beck Lecture Series is a program that invites accomplished writers to Denison’s campus to share their work with students, faculty, staff and the public.
