Author to read at Denison

Aleksandar Hemon

Fiction author Aleksandar Hemon will read from his work at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, in the Board Room of Denison University’s Barney Davis Hall (200 West Loop). The reading, part of the Beck Lecture Series, is free and open to the public.

Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hemon was granted political asylum in the United States in 1992. He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2003 and was named a MacArthur Fellow in 2004. He is the author of “The Question of Bruno,” “Nowhere Man” and “The Lazarus Project.” His latest short story collection, “Love and Obstacles,” was published in May 2009.
