Author Pam Houston reads from recent work

GRANVILLE, Ohio —Denison University’s Beck Lecture Series opens its 50th anniversary year of celebration with a reading by fiction writer and member of the Denison class of 1983 Pam Houston at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, in the auditorium of Herrick Hall (500 West Loop). The reading will be followed by a book signing and reception in the faculty lounge of the Burton D. Morgan Center (150 Ridge Road). These events are free and open to the public. Houston is the author of several award-winning books, including “Cowboys Are My Weakness,” “Waltzing the Cat,” “Sight Hound,” “A Little More About Me,” and her most recent book, “Contents May Have Shifted.” She divides her time between her ranch in Colorado and the University of California at Davis, where she is director of the Creative Writing Program.
