New York Times best-selling author and Denison alumna returns for reading

Laura Munson
Laura Munson, a member of the Denison class of 1988 and a New York Times best-selling author, will read from her book “This Is Not The Story You Think It Is: A Season of Unlikely Happiness,” at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, in the auditorium of Herrick Hall (500 West Loop). The reading is free and open to the public.
Munson’s work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine; O, The Oprah Magazine; Woman’s Day; Whole Living; Ladies Home Journal; The Week; The Huffington Post, and others. She lives in northwest Montana with her husband and children.
This event is sponsored by the Beck Lecture Series, established in 1962 by Gordon C. Beck in memory of his wife, Harriet Ewens Beck, of the Denison class of 1910. The series brings established writers to the Denison campus. Harriet E. Beck held a lifelong interest in creative writing.
