Beck Lecture Series Presents Chris Tanasescu

Chris Tanasescu

Denison University’s Beck Lecture Series will sponsor a program by poet, critic and translator Chris Tanasescu. He will give a reading of his works in translation at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Barney-Davis Hall Board Room (200 West Loop). The event is free and open to the public.

Tanasescu’s poetry performance/ action painting/ rock band Margento won the Fringiest Event Award at Buxton Fringe (UK, 2005); he was awarded the Ronald Gasparic Poetry Prize and the International Library of Poetry Award in 2001. A professor at the University of Bucharest, Tanasescu was an Anna Akhmatova Foundation Fellow for his work as a poet and a translator.
