GRANVILLE — Filmmaker Matt Sienkiewicz will be present to discuss his film “Live from Bethlehem” after its screening at Denison University’s Slayter Auditorium (200 Ridge Road) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The event is free and open to the public.
“Live from Bethlehem” chronicles how journalists from the Ma’an News Network, an independent news source in the Palestinian Territories, are countering propaganda and revolutionizing Palestinian media. The film follows the lives of the station's reporters, producers and photographers, providing an in-depth look into the challenges of making news in one of the world's most combative regions.
Matt Sienkiewicz is an Emmy-nominated screenwriter and documentarian, as well as a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin. His credits include the award winning comedy series “Windy Acres” and the acclaimed television documentary “Festa.”
