GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison University’s largest service event, Big Red’s Big Day, will host a Health and Fitness Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, at the Newark YMCA (470 West Church Street, Newark). The Health and Fitness Fest will provide information and free health screenings to the people of Licking County. Denison student clubs and organizations will host booths at the event to engage and educate visitors of all ages. The Health and Fitness Fest is free and open to the public.

Student volunteers also will visit the 6th Street “Garden of Hope” in Newark to prepare the space for the upcoming growing season. The garden serves specifically to give local girls the skills and knowledge needed to lead healthy lives. Other volunteers will work in South and East Newark to canvas the area for voter registration and participate in a community cleanup.
