Big Red's Big Day is This Weekend
Date of Event: March 28, 2009
Posted: March 27, 2009 / Last Updated: March 28, 2009
Keep an eye out this weekend for Denison University students who will be working on volunteer projects in the community on Saturday, March 28, 2009, during Big Red’s Big Day.
Big Red’s Big Day is an annual event where Denison students volunteer on more than 20 projects that take place both on and off the campus. You might see DU students loading materials at the Twig Thrift Store, cleaning up the roadside along Country Club Drive in Newark or sorting building materials at Habit for Humanity’s Newark office.
Because of the Denison Community Association’s successful organizing efforts and the enthusiastic response of many Denison organizations, teams, clubs and individuals, this will be the biggest Big Red's Big Day in memory.
For more information or to schedule an interview, contact Laurel Kennedy, director of Denison’s John W. Alford Center for Service-Learning, at 740-587-6562. A full listing of events, both on and off campus, is available at Big Red's Big Day Project List
