Music department celebration event at Denison

The Department of Music at Denison will hold a concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, in Burke Recital Hall (240 West Broadway), in celebration of the career of Associate Provost Keith Boone, who is retiring this spring. The concert is free and open to the public.

“Keith has always been an amazing supporter of the fine arts at Denison,” says Associate Professor of Music Ching-chu Hu. “He’s been especially affirming of the music department through its periods of growth. He’s helped us to become the department we are today.”

Many Denison ensembles will perform, including the Denison University Orchestra, the Denison Chamber Singers, the Denison Bluegrass Ensemble, the Singers Theatre Workshop and the Denison Trumpet Ensemble. Faculty members performing include Christopher Bruhn, piano; Andy Carlson, violin; Tom Carroll, guitar; Wei Cheng, voice; Casey Cook, guitar; HyeKyung Lee, piano; Ching-chu Hu, piano; Mark Wade, trumpet; and Kevin Wines, voice.
