GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison University is calling for smart and studious high-school scholars, ages 13 to 19, to take part in the annual Central Ohio Brain Bee, which will take place at Denison on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. The Brain Bee is a question-and-answer competition that tests students’ knowledge of neuroscience, brain physiology and chemistry. There is no cost to participate but advanced registration of participants is required.

 
The Brain Bee competition is conducted by Denison faculty in the neuroscience concentration and student members of Neuroscience Education and Research at Denison (NERD). Each participant earns a free one-year family membership to the Works Museum in Newark, as well as free T-shirts for attending family members. Students compete to earn cash prizes, the Brain Bee championship trophy, the opportunity to go to the National Brain Bee, and money that will be donated to a neuroscience charity.
