Sen. Sherrod Brown and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Connie Schultz to lecture

GRANVILLE, Ohio—The Denison University chapter of Phi Beta Kappa will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a lecture, “A Conversation with Sherrod Brown and Connie Schultz,” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, in Herrick Hall (500 West Loop). The lecture will be followed by a reception in the atrium of Ebaugh Laboratories (500 West Loop). The event is free and open to the public. During the lecture, U.S. senator from Ohio, Sherrod Brown and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Connie Schultz will discuss their respective career paths and the challenges and opportunities they face as a couple in public life.

The Denison University chapter of Phi Beta Kappa was established in 1910. Election to Phi Beta Kappa takes place during the second semester of the senior year and is based primarily on a record of outstanding academic achievement. Election is also possible during the second semester of the junior year for a student whose academic record is truly exceptional.
