Denison’s Big Red Weekend starts Sept. 28

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison University is getting ready for a festive gathering of family, friends and alumni during its annual Big Red Weekend. This year’s Big Red Weekend will take place from Friday, Sept. 28, through Sunday, Sept. 30, and will feature events for the college’s extended community, many of which are open to the public, including the following:

 
·      A student a cappella group concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, in Swasey Chapel (200 Chapel Drive). Free and open to the public.
·      The fourth annual alumni and family swimming and diving meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, in Denison’s new pool at the Trumbull Aquatics Center in the Mitchell Center (200 Livingston Drive). Free and open to the public.
·      Women’s soccer game vs. Allegheny College at noon on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Barclay-Thompsen field (300 Ebaugh Drive). Free and open to the public.
·      Denison football game vs. College of Wooster at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, in Piper Stadium (100 Livingston Drive). General Admission is $4, students, $2, and free for Denison students, faculty and staff as well as senior citizens.
·      Burpee’s Seedy Theatrical Company performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, in the auditorium of Slayter Hall (200 Ridge Road). Free and open to the public.
·      Men’s soccer game vs. Allegheny College at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Barclay-Thompsen field (300 Ebaugh Drive). Free and open to the public.
·      Music Department Showcase at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, in Swasey Chapel (200 Chapel Drive). Free and open to the public.
